Brian Matusz held Chicago to one run over seven innings and Matt Wieters drove in two runs, leading the Baltimore Orioles to a 4-2 win over the White Sox on Wednesday night.
Matusz's only mistake came on Gordon Beckham's leadoff homer in the sixth. Matusz (6-12) gave up only three hits, walked one and struck out five.
Wieters opened the Orioles' scoring with an RBI double in the fifth and he added a sacrifice fly in the sixth. Brian Roberts hit a solo home run in the seventh.
Carlos Quentin's RBI triple cut the lead to two with two outs in the ninth, but Koji Uehara struck out A.J. Pierzynski for his second save.
Mark Buehrle (12-10) gave up four runs in seven innings to absorb the loss.
Wieters' double and an RBI single by Corey Patterson gave Baltimore a 2-0 lead in the fifth. Felix Pie drew a leadoff walk and scored when Wieters doubled to left. Wieters moved to third on a groundout and scored on Patterson's two-out single.
Ty Wigginton started the rally with a walk in the next inning, took third on Pie's single and scored on Wieters' fly ball.
