David Price hurled a four-hit shutout to lead the Tampa Bay Rays to a 6-0 win over the Toronto Blue Jays in the finale of a three-game series at Tropicana Field Sunday.
Price fanned nine and didn't walk a batter in completing the first shutout of his career.
Reserve catcher John Jaso, who hit his first major league home run in Saturday's 9-3 Tampa Bay win, stroked a two-run single in the fifth to give the Rays a 2-0 lead.
Tampa Bay, which leads the American League East, scored four times in the eighth. Evan Longoria had an RBI single in the inning and Carlos Pena and Jason Bartlett followed with RBI doubles.
Brandon Morrow (1-2) took the loss. Morrow stuck out eight but walked six. He allowed three hits and two runs in six innings.
Price didn?t allow a runner to reach third base in the game. Toronto's biggest threat came in the third when it put runners on first and second with one out, but Price struck out the Aaron Hill and Adam Lind to end the frame.
