Dodgers 11, Marlins 4: Andre Ethier went 4-for-4 with a home run and four RBIs as host Los Angeles halted its three-game losing streak.
Hanley Ramirez and Juan Rivera also went deep for the Dodgers, who lost right-hander Chad Billingsley to an elbow injury but are on the verge of acquiring slugger Adrian Gonzalez in a blockbuster trade with the Boston Red Sox.
Jose Reyes got Miami on the board in the first inning with a two-run homer, but Ethier responded in the bottom half with a three-run blast. After the Marlins pulled even in the second on an RBI groundout by Bryan Petersen, Rivera led off the bottom of the frame with his seventh shot for a 4-3 advantage.
Acquired from Miami on July 25, Ramirez belted a two-run homer in the third off Nathan Eovaldi (4-9), who also was involved in the deal. Ramirez has recorded seven RBIs in four games against his former team.
Matt Kemp and Ethier hit back-to-back RBI singles during a five-run seventh that sealed the victory for the Dodgers, who remained three games behind San Francisco in the National League West.
Billingsley, who entered having won each of his six starts since the All-Star break, allowed three runs in 3 1/3 innings before exiting with an injured elbow. Jamey Wright (5-3) picked up the win despite yielding a run and three hits in 1 2/3 frames.
Eovaldi surrendered six runs and seven hits over three innings. The 22-year-old fell to 3-3 in six starts with Miami.
Giancarlo Stanton also homered for the Marlins, who dropped to 4-5 on their 11-game road trip.
GAME NOTEBOOK: The Dodgers' blockbuster deal with the Red Sox would bring 1B Gonzalez, RHP Josh Beckett, OF Carl Crawford and INF Nick Punto to Los Angeles. 1B James Loney, INF Ivan DeJesus and RHP Rubby De La Rosa are some of the pieces that would head to Boston in the nine-player trade. ... Miami LHP Wade LeBlanc will return to the bullpen in order to keep RHP Jacob Turner in the rotation. The highly touted Turner made his Marlins debut Wednesday, when he allowed three runs over six innings in a loss at Arizona.
