Athletics 2, Angels 1: Tommy Milone earned his sixth win with seven strong innings and the host Athletics handed the Angels their third straight loss.
Milone (6-3) improved to 4-0 at home after giving up five hits with one walk and three strikeouts. Brian Fuentes worked a perfect ninth inning for his fourth save.
The Athletics scored single runs in the second and third innings against Jerome Williams (4-2), who allowed two runs on five hits and five walks over 6 1/3 frames.
Mike Trout answered with an RBI double in the fifth inning for the Angels, who lost for the fifth time in seven games against the Athletics this season.
Oakland reliever Ryan Cook worked a perfect eighth inning to set a franchise record by extending his season-opening streak of scoreless innings to 21 2/3.
