Masahiro Tanaka pitched six scoreless innings and rookie Miguel Andujar hit a three-run homer as the New York Yankees beat the Baltimore Orioles 6-3 Tuesday night at Yankee Stadium.
Tanaka (9-2) followed up his three-hitter in Tampa Bay last week by allowing three hits. He struck out eight, walked two and threw 105 pitches, matching his pitch count from a week ago in his sixth career complete game.
The right-hander also ran his unbeaten streak to 13 games and is 7-0 since his last loss on April 17 against the Miami Marlins.
Andujar homered in the fifth after the Yankees scored on singles by rookie Gleyber Torres (first inning), Didi Gregorius (third) and a sacrifice fly by Greg Bird (fifth).
Baltimore right-hander Yefry Ramirez allowed six runs on six hits in five innings in his sixth career start and second against the Yankees.
The Orioles dropped to 32-75 hours after trading Kevin Gausman, Darren O'Day and Jonathan Schoop. Gausman and O'Day were sent to the Atlanta Braves while Schoop was traded to the Milwaukee Brewers.
Adam Jones had one of Baltimore's three hits off Tanaka after electing not to waive his 10-and-5 rights in potential trades to Philadelphia or Cleveland.
Jace Peterson hit a two-run double in the eighth off A.J. Cole and scored on a fielding error by Andujar, who dropped Kyle Higashioka's throw to third after a passed ball.
After the miscue and a Mark Trumbo single, Dellin Betances struck out Trey Mancini and Joey Rickard. Aroldis Chapman struck out the side in a scoreless ninth for his 29th save.
The Orioles were unable to match a season high with their fourth straight win.
The Yankees took a 1-0 lead with two outs in the first when Torres laced a single up the middle. Following a fielding error by shortstop Tim Beckham, Gregorius pushed the lead to 2-0 in the third with a bloop single to left.
Giancarlo Stanton, who reached when he was hit by a pitch to lead off the fifth, scored the third run on a sacrifice fly by Bird. Four pitches later, Andujar blasted a 2-1 pitch into the left-field seats for his 13th homer.
