Kolten Wong homered among his three hits, Daniel Vogelbach and Derek Fisher had two hits apiece and the visiting Milwaukee Brewers to beat the Colorado Rockies 7-6 in Denver on Sunday.
Devin Williams (3-1) struck out the side in his only inning of relief and Brad Boxberger earned his third save for the Brewers.
For Colorado, C.J. Cron had three hits that included a home run, Trevor Story homered and singled, Yonathan Daza and Joshua Fuentes also went deep and Raimel Tapia had two singles to extend his hitting streak to 17 games.
The game was tied after eight, but Milwaukee scratched out a run against Daniel Bard (3-4). Pinch-hitter Jace Peterson led off with a single, stole second and scored on Vogelbach's single to right. The Rockies couldn't respond against Boxberger in the bottom half of the inning.
For the second straight game the Brewers scored two runs in the first inning. Wong led off with a single and moved to third when Daza misplayed Vogelbach's single to center field. Wong scored on a forceout by Christian Yelich.
Omar Narvaez and Fisher singled around a strikeout to drive in Yelich and make it 2-0.
Milwaukee added two more runs in the second. Jackie Bradley Jr. led off with the Brewers' fifth single off Chi Chi Gonzalez and moved to second on Eric Lauer's sacrifice bunt. Wong then homered to left, his fifth of the season, to make it 4-0.
Wong struck again in the fourth. Bradley reached on a one-out walk, moved to second on Lauer's sacrifice bunt and scored on Wong's single to right.
Fisher led off the sixth with a triple to right field and scored on Lauer's third sacrifice bunt of the game.
Colorado came storming back in the bottom of the inning. Tapia led off with a single and Daza homered to left, his second. Story followed with his sixth of the season to chase Lauer.
Lauer allowed three runs on five hits and struck out five.
Charlie Blackmon greeted Zack Godley with a single and Cron crushed a ball to left to make it 6-5, his fourth in seven games and ninth of the season. One out later Fuentes hit his sixth to tie it.
