Fresh off agreeing to a four-year contract extension on Saturday, left-hander Cristopher Sanchez pitched seven scoreless innings as the Philadelphia Phillies beat the visiting Arizona Diamondbacks 4-1 on Sunday in the rubber match of a three-game series.
David Dahl, Bryce Harper and Alec Bohm had two hits apiece for Philadelphia, which won 12-1 on Saturday after dropping Friday's series opener 5-4.
Nick Castellanos went 1-for-4 and notched his 800th career RBI as the Phillies won their second straight series.
Philadelphia reliever Jeff Hoffman allowed a run on three hits in the ninth before he retired Christian Walker on a groundout with runners on first and third to end the game.
Ketel Marte had an RBI single in the ninth for Arizona, which was outhit 11-6. The Diamondbacks finished 3-3 on their six-game road trip.
Arizona starter Slade Cecconi (2-6) allowed one run on five hits over three innings. He struck out two without walking a batter.
Jose Alvarado pitched a perfect eighth for the Phillies, who won their National League-leading 51st game.
Castellanos' milestone RBI gave Philadelphia a 1-0 lead in the second inning.
Bohm laced a leadoff double to left field and scored on the next pitch when Castellanos lined a single through the left side.
The Phillies put at least one runner on in each of the next three innings but failed to capitalize until they broke through in the sixth against Justin Martinez.
Dahl stepped to the plate with runners on second and third after Bryson Stott and Brandon Marsh worked back-to-back one-out walks and advanced on a balk by Martinez.
After working a 2-1 count, Dahl whacked Martinez's 100-mph sinker into right field for a two-run single that made it 3-0.
Harper's leadoff double in the seventh helped Philadelphia grow its lead. Bohm was hit by a pitch to put two runners on, and Stott came through two batters later when he dumped a one-out RBI single into left field to put the Phillies ahead 4-0.
Sanchez (5-3) scattered three hits and struck out four without walking a batter. He retired the last 11 hitters he faced.
Plate umpire Ben May ejected Jeff Banister in the bottom of the sixth after the Diamondbacks' bench coach objected to a pitch-clock violation against Arizona pitcher Joe Mantiply.
