Tim Duncan had 21 points, 16 rebounds, eight assists and five blocked shots to lead the San Antonio Spurs to a 101-92 victory over the visiting New York Knicks on Friday.
Tony Parker had 21 points and 13 assists while DeJuan Blair had 18 points and 13 rebounds as San Antonio (37-6) won its eighth straight game.
Raymond Felton scored 23 points, and Amare Stoudemire had 18 points and seven rebounds for New York (22-20), which has lost five straight games.
Stoudemire failed to score 20 points for the first time since scoring 17 points against Charlotte on Nov. 23. He had 26 consecutive 20-point performances.
San Antonio’s Manu Ginobili scored 16 points and was just 5-of-18 from the field. However, Ginobili hit all six of his free-throw attempts and has now made a career-high 44 in a row. His previous best was 43.
Danilo Gallinari added 16 points for New York, which shot just 37.8 percent from the field.
The Knicks fell 36 points shy of their point total from Jan. 4 when they defeated the Spurs 128-115. The 128 points are the most against San Antonio all season.
