LaMarcus Aldridge and Wesley Matthews scored 28 points apiece as the host Portland Trail Blazers notched a 108-93 victory to cool down the Los Angeles Clippers on Thursday.

The Portland duo upstaged the Clippers’ tandem of Eric Gordon and Blake Griffin as the Trail Blazers (24-20) rebounded from an early 16-2 deficit to win their fourth straight game.

The loss ended a three-game winning streak for the Clippers and was just the fifth defeat in 16 games for Los Angeles (16-26).

Gordon scored 35 points and made seven 3-point shots and Griffin started a new double-double streak with 20 points while matching a season-high with 18 rebounds. Griffin had 27 consecutive double-doubles before grabbing just eight rebounds against Minnesota on Wednesday.

The Clippers trailed by 11 with under eight minutes to play before Gordon hit two 3s during an 8-0 run that pulled Los Angeles with 90-87. Portland responded by outscoring Los Angeles 18-6 over the final six-plus minutes.

Baron Davis added 16 points for Los Angeles, which dropped to 3-13 on the road.
