Kobe Bryant scored 22 points while Pau Gasol and Lamar Odom added 16 apiece as the Los Angeles Lakers snapped a four-game losing streak by blasting the Sacramento Kings, 113-80, on Friday.
Enduring the longest drought of the Bryant-Gasol era, the Lakers were frustrated by a number of aspects in their game, notably the shooting percentages of their stars and the breakdown of their team defense.
Those problems seem to have been solved on Friday, as Bryant and Gasol combined to go 15-of-26 from the floor and Los Angeles held the Kings to under 40 percent shooting.
The Lakers led by five after the first quarter, 17 at the half and 30 by the end of the third quarter in their most efficient game in weeks.
Gasol, who has been bother by a sore hamstring recently, took most of the second half off along with the other starters as three bench players finished in double figures.
Jason Thompson scored 19 points to lead Sacramento, which has dropped six straight.
