Nets 113, Kings 93: Brook Lopez led six players in double figures with 18 points and host Brooklyn improved to 5-1 under interim coach P.J. Carlesimo.

Deron Williams added 15 points and seven assists for the Nets, who shot 51.8 percent. Joe Johnson and reserves Andray Blatche and MarShon Brooks also had 15 points while Mirza Teletovic added a personal-best 14.

DeMarcus Cousins led the Kings with 28 points and 11 rebounds en route to his sixth straight double-double. Jason Thompson added 15 points for Sacramento, which failed to win three straight road games for the first time since March 2011 and dropped to 3-14 away from home.

Coming off a three-hour, double-overtime win at Washington on Friday, the Nets hardly looked like a tired team as they scored a season-high 36 points in the first quarter. Brooklyn began taking over in the second by getting 19 straight points from its bench as Brooks and Teletovic combined for 17, leading to a 55-39 lead with just over four minutes to play and a 65-47 advantage at halftime.

Sacramento briefly threatened as Cousins scored seven points in a span of two minutes, cutting the deficit to 85-72. The Nets scored the next seven points and secured the victory on Johnson's 3-pointer with 8:25 left in the fourth quarter.

GAME NOTEBOOK: Brooklyn's 68 percent shooting in the first half was the highest by an Eastern Conference team this season. ... Brooks took a season-high 14 shots for the Nets. ... Sacramento G Marcus Thornton missed his fourth straight game with a sprained left ankle.
