Spurs 103, Bulls 89: Kawhi Leonard scored a career-high 26 points and short-handed San Antonio pulled away in the fourth quarter to beat host Chicago.
Danny Green scored 18 points and Tiago Splitter and Gary Neal added 16 apiece as the Spurs won for the 13th time in 14 games despite missing standouts Tony Parker, Tim Duncan and Manu Ginobili.
Nate Robinson scored 20 points and backcourt mate Richard Hamilton had 16 for the Bulls, who lost for the third time in four games despite an overwhelming 49-26 advantage on the backboards.
San Antonio led by as many as 14 points in the third quarter before Robinson scored seven straight points and 11 overall in the third to cut the deficit to 76-71 entering the final 12 minutes.
Chicago quickly cut the deficit to one and trailed 82-78 when Leonard scored six points in a 15-2 burst to extend the lead to 95-80 with 3:06 to play as the Spurs improved to 3-1 on their nine-game road trip.
GAME NOTEBOOK: Parker, who averaged 30.3 points in his last three games, sat out with a right knee contusion, giving Nando de Colo his second start of the season. Stephen Jackson (personal) also joined Duncan (knee) and Ginobili (hamstring) on the sideline. ... Bulls C Joakim Noah, who was listed as a game-time decision due to plantar fasciitis, had seven points and a game-high 15 rebounds. ... Boris Diaw was also in double figures with 10 points as the Spurs shot 52 percent to beat Chicago for only the second time in six meetings.
