Bulls 118, Knicks 111 (OT): Nate Robinson scored eight of his season-high 35 points in overtime as host Chicago snapped New York's 13-game winning streak.
Jimmy Butler had 22 points and a career-high 14 rebounds and Luol Deng scored 16 points as the Bulls completed a four-game season sweep of the Knicks 15 days after halting Miami's 27-game winning streak. Chicago moved a half-game ahead of Atlanta for fifth place in the Eastern Conference.
Carmelo Anthony scored 36 points - setting a franchise record with six straight 35-plus point games - and grabbed a season-high 19 rebounds for New York, who blew a 17-point lead before erasing a nine-point deficit in the final 5:42 of regulation. New York's lead over Indiana for the No. 2 seed was cut to two games.
Robinson, who scored 10 points in the fourth quarter, put the Bulls ahead to stay with a three-point play at the outset of the extra session. Robinson followed a 3-pointer by Deng by making a technical free throw before scoring on a drive to push the lead to 114-107 with 1:36 seconds to go.
New York led by 17 in the first quarter and were up 15 in the third before the Bulls used a 35-11 burst bridging the third and fourth quarter to surge ahead 99-90 with 5:42 to play. The Knicks clawed back by holding Chicago without a field goal the rest of the way to force overtime.
GAME NOTEBOOK: J.R. Smith scored 28 points, including a 3-pointer in the final minute of the first quarter that gave the Knicks 842 for the season, breaking the record for threes set by the Orlando Magic in 2009-10. ... Carlos Boozer had 13 points and 15 points for Chicago, which swept the Knicks for the first time since 2003-04. ... The Bulls were without C Joakim Noah (plantar fasciitis) and F Taj Gibson (knee) while Knicks C Tyson Chandler (neck) and F Kenyon Martin (ankle) sat out.
