Bulls 95, Wizards 92: Carlos Boozer had 19 points and 15 rebounds as Chicago clinched the fifth seed in the Eastern Conference playoffs and a first-round series with Brooklyn with a narrow victory over visiting Washington in the regular-season finale for both teams.
The Wizards gave the Bulls all they could handle despite being short-handed, but Taj Gibson blocked A.J. Price's potential game-tying 3-pointer with 10 seconds to go to preserve the victory. Kirk Hinrich had 18 points on 7-of-9 shooting while Nazr Mohammed added a season-high 17 points.
Price came off the bench to score a career-high 24 points to lead the Wizards, while John Wall had 23 despite shooting 8-of-21. Chris Singleton chipped in with 13 points off the bench.
The Bulls jumped out to a 10-0 start and were up 35-18 a minute into the second quarter before Price scored 12 points in a 16-0 run by Washington. Price finished with 16 points in the quarter, which ended with Chicago on top by five.
The Bulls had the lead for much of the second half, but Price tied the game at 85 with 3:18 to play on a 3-pointer. Chicago surged ahead again with a 7-0 run, but Washington fought back within three before Gibson's game-saving block.
