Grizzlies 112, Pistons 84: Jon Leuer matched his career high with 23 points and grabbed eight rebounds off the bench and Zach Randolph tallied 16 points and 16 boards as visiting Memphis cruised to its ninth straight win over Detroit.
Ed Davis collected 17 points and 11 rebounds and Tayshaun Prince and Mike Conley scored 15 apiece for the Grizzlies. Jerryd Bayless chipped in 10 off the bench as Memphis' reserves outscored their Detroit counterparts 52-19.
Greg Monroe finished with 19 points and eight rebounds and Andre Drummond added 15 points and 14 rebounds for the Pistons, who have matched their season high with four straight losses. Josh Smith had 13 points and nine boards and Kentavious Caldwell-Pope scored 14 as Detroit lost its fifth straight home game and dropped to 6-12 at The Palace of Auburn Hills.
The Pistons have been prone to fourth-quarter collapses recently but they folded in the third quarter this time, getting outscored 28-11 coming out of the break. Both Drummond and Singler went to the bench after picking up their fourth fouls a minute apart, and Memphis immediately took control by dominating the glass.
Detroit's starting frontcourt - Monroe, Drummond and Smith - combined for 36 points in the first half as the Pistons shot 48.9 percent and took a 56-51 lead into the break, but the Pistons went 5-for-18 from the field in the third quarter and never recovered. The Grizzlies turned it into a rout in the fourth, hitting seven of their first 10 shots in the period to stretch it to 99-74 before coasting to the finish.
GAME NOTEBOOK: Memphis G Tony Allen (hand) and Detroit G Rodney Stuckey (shoulder) did not play. … Singler, who is in his second season out of Duke, surpassed 1,000 career points. … Memphis held a 59-43 edge on the boards and scored 23 points off 11 Detroit turnovers.
