The Bucks cranked up the defense in the fourth quarter, holding Miami to eight field goals in the period to pull away. Bayless scored seven straight points during an 11-2 run that stretched the lead to 102-91 with 3:32 to play, and Miami didn't get closer than the final margin the rest of the way.
Middleton and Dudley hit 3-pointers during a 7-0 spurt that gave the Bucks a 45-35 lead with 5:11 left in the half, but the Heat clawed back within one before Antetokounmpo's slam sent Milwaukee to the break up 54-50. The Heat scored eight straight points early in the third quarter to regain the lead and surged ahead by 10 before the Bucks closed the period with a 14-4 spurt to tie it at 82 entering the fourth.
GAME NOTEBOOK: Granger connected on the 1,000th 3-pointer of his career in the first quarter. … Milwaukee F Ersan Ilyasova aggravated his right groin in the first half and did not return. … Both teams shot better than 50 percent, ending Milwaukee's 17-game streak of keeping opponents below that figure and Miami's 12-game streak of doing so.
