Bogdan Bogdanovic connected on the winning basket with 1.5 seconds remaining to lift the Sacramento Kings to a 94-93 victory over the host Memphis Grizzlies on Friday night at FedExForum.
Willie Cauley-Stein had 18 points and eight rebounds and Buddy Hield scored 14 points as the Kings won for just the second time in the past seven games. De'Aaron Fox and Justin Jackson tallied 13 points apiece and JaKarr Sampson added 11 for Sacramento.
MarShon Brooks had 23 points and eight rebounds in just his fourth game with Memphis. Dillon Brooks scored 16 points, Ivan Rabb added 12 and Mario Chalmers and Kobi Simmons had 11 apiece for the Grizzlies.
Bogdanovic's decisive shot came after Dillon Brooks hit a 3-pointer with 7.4 seconds left to give Memphis a 93-92 lead. Bogdanovic also recorded a steal on the Grizzlies' final possession.
Memphis recovered from a 12-point fourth-quarter deficit to briefly take the lead before suffering its fourth straight setback.
Cauley-Stein's dunk gave Sacramento an 89-87 lead with 55.8 seconds to play before Chalmers drained a 3-pointer to give Memphis a one-point edge with 32.5 seconds to play.
Jackson responded with a 3-pointer to give the Kings a 92-90 lead with 17.2 left before Dillon Brooks knocked down his 3-pointer to set up the game-ending sequence.
Sacramento opened the fourth quarter with a 10-4 run and held a 78-67 lead after Bogdanovic's jumper with 8:58 remaining. A 3-pointer by Jackson gave the Kings an 83-71 advantage with 6:37 to play before Memphis staged a comeback.
Rabb scored six points during a 66-second span in which the Grizzlies scored eight straight to pull within 87-85 with 2:44 remaining. Chalmers buried a short jumper to tie the score with 1:47 left.
The Kings trailed by four at halftime before controlling the first 6 1/2 minutes of the third quarter and taking a 58-54 lead on Hield's basket.
Memphis scored the next five to regain the lead before Sacramento finished the quarter with a 10-4 burst to possess a 68-63 lead entering the final stanza.
MarShon Brooks had 16 points and seven rebounds in the first half as the Grizzlies took a 48-44 lead into the break.
