No. 23 Tennessee got 18 points from touted freshman Tobias Harris and routed Chattanooga 82-62 Friday in Knoxville.
The Volunteers raced out to a 19-point halftime lead and maintained a big lead throughout the second half.
Harris,
a McDonald's All-American, worked his way around the paint and hit 7 of
11 shots and grabbed five rebounds in his highly anticipated debut.
Scotty Hopson and Melvin Goins each added 13 points for the Vols (1-0).
Chattanooga (0-1) was led by Keegan Bell's 20 points. Omar Wattad added 13 for the Mocs.
