Reggie Jackson and Corey Raji carried Boston College to an 86-75 victory over Georgia Tech Saturday in an Atlantic Coast Conference matchup at Conte Forum.
Jackson scored 25 points and Raji added 22 for the Eagles (12-4, 2-0 ACC).
Boston College improved to 7-2 at home this season and gave first-year head coach Steve Donahue his first career victory over Georgia Tech. Donahue was 0-3 against the Yellow Jackets while he was the coach at Cornell.
Jackson entered the game leading the Eagles in scoring and was extremely efficient against the Yellow Jackets. He was 8 of 9 from the field, made all three of his 3-point attempts and went 6 of 6 from the line.
Raji added nine rebounds in 33 minutes off the bench for Boston College.
The Yellow Jackets (7-7, 0-1) opened conference play on the road for the first time since the 2006-07 season.
Iman Shumpert scored 15 points and added five rebounds and four assists and Glen Rice Jr. had 12 points and seven rebounds for Georgia Tech, which dropped to 0-4 in true road games this season.
