Rotnei Clarke scored 25 points to head up a strong shooting effort as Arkansas cruised past LSU, 80-61, Saturday afternoon in Fayetteville, Ark.
The Razorbacks (15-9, 5-6 SEC) closed the first half with 11 consecutive points to take a 40-22 advantage into the locker room. Arkansas shot 54 percent in the opening period, hitting 5-of-7 shots from 3-point range.
The margin got no smaller in the second half, as Arkansas connected on 15-of-16 foul shots over a seven-minute span to make it 75-48 with 6:07 remaining. The Razorbacks made 25-of-29 overall from the foul line.
Clarke hit 7-of-10 shots overall and 5 of 6 from 3-point range. Marshawn Powell added 14 points for Arkansas.
Matt Derenbecker led LSU (10-15, 2-8) with 13 points.
