Chase Tapley scored a game-high 17 points and visiting San Diego State snapped No. 23 Arizona's 22-game home winning streak with a 61-57 victory on Wednesday.
James Rahon scored 12 points for the Aztecs (6-1), which jumped to an early 21-4 lead over the Wildcats (4-2).
Solomon Hill had 14 points and Josiah Turner and Nick Johnson added 10 apiece for Arizona, which lost its second straight game. The Wildcats lost by 10 to Mississippi State last Friday.
Jamaal Franklin hit back-to-back 3-pointers as part of an 8-0 run to put San Diego State up 52-41 with 12:15 remaining. The Aztecs shot 8-of-12 (66.7 percent) from beyond the arc, while Arizona was 5-of-26 (19.2 percent).
San Diego State, which won two NCAA tournament games at the McKale Center last season, recorded its seventh straight win over a Pac-12 opponent. The Aztecs won despite shooting just 5-of-15 (33.3 percent) from the free-throw line.
