Justin Hamilton scored 14 points to lead LSU to a 64-45 victory over visiting Boise State on Saturday.
Anthony Hickey added 11 points as the Tigers (6-3) won for the fifth time in six games while snapping Boise State’s five-game winning streak.
Derrick Marks scored 13 points to lead the Broncos (8-2), who posted a season-low scoring output while dropping to 0-2 on the road.
LSU shot 64 percent from the field in the second half to pull away. The Tigers shot 50 percent overall.
Hamilton’s three-point play culminated a 14-6 run that gave the Tigers a 42-33 lead with 11:48 to go. The LSU lead reached 56-41 on Hickey’s hoop with 2:42 left.
The Tigers held Boise State scoreless over the final 5:21 of the first half while scoring eight straight points to take a 25-22 halftime lead.
Storm Warren and Johnny O’Bryant added 10 points apiece for LSU, which played without leading scorer Andre Stringer, who fainted at practice earlier this week.
Boise State shot only 29.8 percent from the field and leading scorer Anthony Drmic went scoreless. He entered the contest with a 15.6 average.
