Chace Stanback matched a career high with 29 points off the bench as No. 20 UNLV pummeled visiting Central Arkansas 124-75 on Wednesday.
Fellow UCLA transfer Mike Moser added 18 points, nine rebounds and six assists for the Runnin’ Rebels (14-2), who posted their first 100-point game since Nov. 18, 2006.
Stanback hit a career-high nine 3-pointers as UNLV shot a season-high 67.1 percent from the field and drilled 18-of-32 shots from behind the arc.
Central Arkansas (5-7) managed to stay with the Rebels for the first six minutes and pulled as close as 14-13 before Justin Hawkins drained a 3-pointer that triggered a 13-0 run and the Rebels scored 14 unanswered later in the half to take a 63-39 lead into the break.
UNLV didn’t let up in the second half as it shot 70.9 percent over the final 20 minutes en route to its highest point total since scoring 126 against Utah State on Jan. 9, 1991.
LaQuentin Miles scored 21 points for the Bears, who finished with 25 turnovers.
