CALIFORNIA 86, OREGON 83: Justin Cobbs scored a career-high 28 points and Harper Kamp added 20 as California shot 62 percent in the second half to beat visiting Oregon for the ninth straight time.

Oregon trailed 85-83 with 21 seconds left, but the Ducks missed their final two 3-point attempts after David Kravish’s free throw put California up by three with 18 seconds remaining.

Kravish had 13 points and eight boards for California (21-6, 11-3 Pac-12), which entered the game tied with Washington for first place. The Bears improved to 16-1 at home.

Oregon’s Devoe Joseph hit back-to-back 3-pointers in the final 30 seconds and tied his career high with 33 points. The Ducks (18-8, 9-5 Pac-12) dropped two games back of first place with four games to play.

California, which beat the Ducks 76-60 on Jan. 8, forced 22 Oregon turnovers. Both teams shot higher than 54 percent from the field.

GAME NOTEBOOK: Jorge Gutierrez’s parents from Mexico were in attendance at Haas Pavilion for the first time since his first game as a freshman. … Oregon fell to 11-3 in games decided by fewer than 10 points. … Reigning Pac-12 Player of the Week E.J.
