No. 11 Creighton 91, Drake 61: Ethan Wragge drilled six 3-pointers and finished with a season-high 22 points as the host Bluejays breezed to their ninth straight victory.
Reigning Missouri Valley Conference Player of the Year Doug McDermott made his first six shots and finished with 16 points. Jahenns Manigat had 13 points for 11th-ranked Creighton (15-1, 4-0 MVC), which shot a blistering 67.9 percent from the field in the first half.
Joey King had a team-high 17 points for Drake (6-9, 0-4), which has dropped four in a row overall and four straight to the Bluejays.
McDermott wasted no time getting started, sinking a 3-pointer and scoring nine quick points as Creighton jumped out to a 17-2 lead.
After making a trio of 3-pointers in the first half, Wragge did the same during a brief two-minute stretch in the second to extend the Bluejays' advantage to 70-40.
GAME NOTEBOOK: Creighton, which shot 16-for-27 from 3-point range, improved to 52-for-98 from beyond the arc in conference play. ... Wragge, who shot 8-for-11 from the field, is 17-for-26 in his last three contests. ... The Bluejays have won 16 of their last 18 home contests against members of the MVC.
