North Carolina 79, Florida State 58: Reggie Bullock posted his third double-double of the season with 20 points and 10 rebounds as the host Tar Heels completed a regular-season sweep of the Seminoles.

Bullock hit four of North Carolina’s nine 3-pointers and added five assists while James Michael McAdoo scored a game-high 21 points for the Tar Heels (21-8, 11-5 ACC), who are 5-1 in the six games since coach Roy Williams inserted Bullock into the starting lineup. P.J. Hairston added 16 points, including four 3-pointers, for the Tar Heels.

Michael Snaer finished with 17 points to lead Florida State (15-14, 7-9), which has dropped six of their last seven on the road.

North Carolina hit its first three shots and scored the first seven points of the game before briefly allowing the Seminoles to take their only lead at 16-15. However, Bullock and McAdoo accounted for all of the Tar Heels’ points during a 17-3 spurt, allowing North Carolina to eventually stretch its lead to 42-21 near the end of the first half.

Florida State managed to pull within 12 points following a pair of free throws from Snaer with 12:40 remaining, but Bullock nailed a 3-pointer on the next possession and the Tar Heels – who shot 55.4 percent from the field – increased the margin to 23 in the final minutes.

GAME NOTEBOOK: Bullock is averaging 18 points, 10.6 rebounds and 4.6 assists over the last three games. … Florida State’s last six road losses have come by an average margin of 19.6 points. … The Tar Heels improved to 44-12 in the all-time series, including 15-4 at the Smith Center.
