South Carolina 80, Texas A&M 52: Sindarius Thornwell and Duane Notice each had 19 points as the Gamecocks snapped a six-game losing streak with a wire-to-wire win against the visiting Aggies.

Brenton Williams added 18 points for South Carolina (8-12, 1-6 SEC), which finished 4-of-8 from the 3-point line. Notice was 6-of-8 from the field on the way to a career-high in points and Laimonas Chatkevicius added 12 points off the bench.

Shawn Smith and Jamal Jones each had nine points to lead Texas A&M (12-8, 3-4), which has lost four straight. The Aggies were outrebounded for the sixth consecutive game, had 18 turnovers and shot 35.6 percent from the floor.

South Carolina hit eight straight free throws and Williams added a 3-pointer during a 17-2 run that broke open the game late in the first half. Smith pulled Texas A&M within 38-21 with a pair of layups in the final two minutes but Williams closed the half with a 3-pointer for a 20-point lead.

Kourtney Roberson had back-to-back layups early in the second half as the Aggies got to within 46-34 with 16 1/2 minutes left but the Gamecocks answered with a 13-3 run. Texas A&M, which has been held to 55 points or fewer in its last three games, had just four field goals the rest of the way and didn't break the 50-point mark until Fabyon Harris' 3-pointer with 90 seconds left.

GAME NOTEBOOK: South Carolina started the game 3-of-5 while jumping to an 8-0 lead after three minutes. ... Williams, who entered the game leading the country in free-throw percentage (98.3), missed two foul shots and is now 63-of-66 ... It was South Carolina's most lopsided conference win since beating Tennessee by 34 points in 2002.
