Kentucky 64, Cincinnati 51: Aaron Harrison drained three 3-pointers en route to 13 points as the Wildcats held off the Bearcats in the NCAA Tournament round of 32 in Louisville, Ky.

Trey Lyles contributed 11 points and 11 rebounds for top-seeded Kentucky (36-0), which will play either Maryland or West Virginia in the Sweet 16 on Thursday in Cleveland. Willie Cauley-Stein and Tyler Ulis registered nine points apiece while Karl-Anthony Towns scored eight to go along with seven rebounds and three blocks for the Wildcats.

Troy Caupain led the way with 13 points on 4-of-17 shooting for eighth-seeded Cincinnati (23-11), which made only 31.7 percent from the field – 2-of-14 from beyond the arc. Octavius Ellis recorded nine points and 10 rebounds while Shaquille Thomas scored 10 for the Bearcats, who turned the ball over 14 times.

Kentucky trailed by as many as five in the first half and was down three before scoring the final 10, including a three-point play by Cauley-Stein and a 3-pointer by Aaron Harrison, for a 31-24 edge at intermission. Cincinnati pulled within three early in the second half, but Cauley-Stein’s basket and a driving layup by Devin Booker pushed the lead back to 39-32.

Aaron Harrison’s 3-pointer gave the Wildcats an eight-point bulge and when Andrew Harrison completed a three-point play with 8:32 to go, the lead had swelled to 49-37. The Bearcats trimmed the deficit to 10 before Ulis drained a 3-pointer as Kentucky scored the next nine to put the game away.
