Mason Landdeck scored 24 points, including two free throws with 10.3 seconds remaining, as visiting Eastern Washington snapped Washington State's 18-game nonconference winning streak with a 76-71 win Saturday in Pullman, Wash.

Ethan Price scored 12 points for the Eagles (3-3), and Rylan Bergersen and Angelo Allegri each added 10. Bergersen also had eight rebounds and three assists.

Tyrell Roberts led WSU (5-1) with 23 points before fouling out, and Michael Flowers added 21 points and nine rebounds.

The Cougars played without leading scorer Noah Williams and top reserve TJ Bamba, who were both sidelined by neck injuries. The two combine to average 22.2 points per game.

Bergersen made a driving layup and was fouled with 2:31 remaining to snap a 65-all tie. He converted the free throw to make it 68-65 and the Eagles never trailed again.

Price made a layup to extend the advantage to 70-65 and Landdeck stole the ball and made a driving layup with 1:02 left to give the Eagles a seven-point lead.

The Cougars twice got within three points in the final minute, but Landdeck responded with two free throws each time. Landdeck, a freshman, finished 12 of 14 at the free-throw line.

The game featured several scoring runs by both teams.

Trailing 40-21 with 1:58 remaining before the intermission, the Eagles closed with a 7-0 run and opened the second half with a 10-0 spurt to pull within two.

After Bergersen made the game's first basket, the Cougars scored the next 13 points, with Flowers draining three 3-pointers.

The Eagles then put together a 12-0 run to regain the lead 14-13 on a driving layup by Linton Acliese with 11:35 left in the half.

The Cougars responded with a 7-0 spurt, capped by Andrej Jakimovski's 3-pointer, to take a 20-14 lead.

A 3-pointer by Landdeck and a jumper by Allegri pulled EWU within 20-19 before WSU went on an 11-0 run, with Flowers making a pull-up jumper and four three throws.

The Cougars had another 7-0 run later in the half, capped by Roberts' 3-pointer, to make it 38-21 with 2:31 remaining.
