Marcus Sorensen scored a goal and added two assists as the host San Jose Sharks downed the Minnesota Wild 4-3 on Tuesday night.
Barclay Goodrow netted the winner at 7:25 of the third period as he deflected in a Brent Burns point shot.
San Jose led 1-0 after the first period and 3-1 following the second, but the Wild rallied on two goals in the first 3:27 of the final frame.
The Sharks posted their second consecutive win. The Wild took their first loss in three games.
Joe Thornton and Antti Suomela also scored for the Sharks, and Burns furnished two helpers.
Zach Parise, Jared Spurgeon and Matt Dumba tallied for Minnesota while Mikko Koivu recorded two assists.
Sharks goaltender Martin Jones made 23 saves on 26 shots. Wild netminder Devan Dubnyk blocked 18 of 22 shots.
The Wild outshot San Jose 8-2 in the opening period, but the Sharks managed to score on one of their attempts. Sorensen opened the scoring 4:47 into the game as he fired a cross-ice, back-door pass from Burns into a gaping net while Dubnyk was caught looking to his right.
Thornton started the first scoring play by winning a faceoff in the Wild's zone. He gave the Sharks a 2-0 lead about 5 1/2 minutes into the second period as Sorensen's high shot from the slot went in off him.
The Wild pulled within a goal on a power play at 12:56 of the middle frame as Parise converted the rebound of a Nino Niederreiter shot. The goal, which came as San Jose's Timo Meier was off for tripping, was Parise's 100th career power-play marker.
However, Suomela restored the Sharks' two-goal advantage just over four minutes later. He put home a backhand after taking a pass from Sorensen and going in all alone as Minnesota was caught on a bad line change.
Spurgeon closed the gap to 3-2 on a long wrist shot that appeared to go in off a Sharks defender just 1:22 into the third period. Dumba then drew the Wild even just over two minutes later as he wired in a slap shot after taking a short pass from Koivu.
