Christian Dvorak scored 1:04 into overtime as the visiting Arizona Coyotes extended their winning streak to four games with a 3-2 victory over the New York Rangers on Tuesday.
Arizona enjoyed possession of the puck throughout overtime before Dvorak weaved in and wired a shot from the left circle that sailed over the left shoulder of Alexandar Georgiev. The goal was Dvorak's fourth of the season and first career in overtime.
Lawson Crouse scored his second goal in as many games, defenseman Alex Goligoski had a goal and an assist, and Darcy Kuemper finished with 17 saves as the Coyotes improved to 5-0-1 in their past six contests.
Defenseman Tony DeAngelo celebrated his 100th game with New York by scoring twice in the second period against his former team.
Georgiev turned aside 32 shots for the Rangers, who have been outscored 20-9 during their five-game losing skid (0-4-1).
Arizona enjoyed a staggering 21-4 edge in shots on goal in the first, with Crouse's goal 13:06 into the period serving as the lone dent on the scoreboard.
Carl Soderberg skated below the goal line before backhanding the puck back to Christian Fischer, who was denied by Georgiev on the doorstep. The rebound squirted out to Crouse, who deposited the puck inside the left post for his second goal of the season.
New York took advantage of a failed pinch by Arizona, resulting in the game-tying goal 5:04 into the second period.
Pavel Buchnevich skated up the right wing and into the offensive zone before setting up Brendan Lemieux, whose backhand shot was denied by Kuemper on the doorstep. An unmarked DeAngelo, who played his rookie season with the Coyotes in 2016-17, shoveled the rebound into the gaping net.
Goligoski regained the lead for Arizona over 8 1/2 minutes later with a blast from above the right circle for a power-play goal.
However, New York answered with the man advantage with two minutes left in the session. Ryan Strome's cross-crease centering feed found the stick of DeAngelo, who converted from in close for his third goal of the season.
