Brandon Saad scored two goals and added an assist as the St. Louis Blues rebounded to beat the visiting Calgary Flames 5-1 on Thursday night.
The Flames dominated the Blues 7-1 in Calgary on Monday in the previous game between the teams.
Brayden Schenn had a goal and an assist and Jordan Kyrou and Ryan O'Reilly also scored for the Blues, who are 14-1-1 in their past 16 home games and 9-2-0 in their past 11 games overall.
Ville Husso, making fifth start in the Blues' last seven games, made 28 saves to earn the victory.
After the Flames scored 13 goals on 110 shots on goal in their previous two games, they struggled to generate an attack against the Blues.
Mikael Backlund scored their goal and Jacob Markstrom made 23 saves while starting for the second straight night. Markstrom shut out the Columbus Blue Jackets 6-0 on Wednesday.
The Blues outshot the Flames 11-6 in the first period while taking a 2-1 lead.
Saad put the Blues on the board first by scoring off a rush at 6:15. He took a pass from Schenn at center ice and beat Markstrom with a blast from the left wing.
The Flames tied the game 1-1 at 10:34. Andrew Mangiapane stole the puck in the Blues' zone, whirled in the slot and fed Backlund for his sharp-angle goal from the right side.
Schenn put the Blues up 2-1 by breaking out on a two-on-one rush with David Perron and scoring off the left side of the ice with 6:01 left on the period.
Saad increased that margin to 3-1 midway through the second period by pouncing on a clearing attempt in front of the Calgary net and burying his point-blank shot.
The Blues made it 4-1 at the 4:10 mark of the third period. Robert Thomas centered the puck to Kyrou from behind the net, and Kyrou sliced across the crease and fired the puck into the open side of the net.
O'Reilly tacked on a power-play goal with 61 seconds left to play during a goalmouth scramble.
