Tomas Hertl added a goal and an assist and Kaedan Korczak also scored for Vegas, which won in regulation for the first time this season. Mitch Marner chipped in two assists for the Golden Knights, who have earned points in four straight games to open the season (2-0-2).

Vegas goalie Adin Hill allowed two goals on 10 first-period shots before he was replaced by Akira Schmid to start the second. Schmid stopped all 19 shots he faced in his second appearance of the season.

Hill reportedly sustained a lower-body injury after taking a Matt Coronato shot off the mask with 7:51 to play in the first and falling awkwardly while making a save on the rebound.

Mikael Backlund and Blake Coleman scored for the Flames, who led 2-0 after one period. Dustin Wolf made 26 saves for Calgary, which has dropped three straight.

The Golden Knights scored twice in a 2:27 span of the third period to erase a 2-1 deficit and take their first lead of the game.

Vegas tied it 2-2 at 4:11 of the third as Korczak put a loose puck blocker-side past Wolf for his first of the season.

Eichel gave Vegas its first lead of the night, powering past Flames defenseman Daniil Miromanov and tucking in the puck far side past Wolf for his second of the night and fourth of the season.

Hertl sealed the result by scoring into an empty net with seven seconds to play.

Vegas got on the board at 10:00 of the middle frame as Eichel put home his own rebound.

Calgary outshot Vegas 10-8 and held a two-goal lead after 20 minutes.

Backlund opened the scoring at 7:32 of the first, finishing a give-and-go with MacKenzie Weegar for his first of the season.

Coleman doubled the Flames' lead at 12:10, snapping a shot short side past Hill's glove for his second of the season.

Vegas' Brett Howden missed the contest with a lower-body injury and was replaced in the lineup by Cole Reinhardt.
