Brad Marchand and Sean Kuraly scored 27 seconds apart in the third period to rally the visiting Boston Bruins past the Philadelphia Flyers 2-1 on Friday.

The Bruins, helped by goaltender Tuukka Rask's 23 saves, have won all four meetings against the Flyers this season.

James van Riemsdyk scored the lone goal for Philadelphia, whose goalie Brian Elliott made 21 saves.

Both teams killed off penalties midway through the first period in a scoreless game.

The Flyers received a two-man advantage for six seconds late in the first but couldn't capitalize despite a flurry of scoring chances on the power play.

Rask was terrific in the first with seven saves.

Less than three minutes into the second, Marchand was denied by Elliott on two shots.

Philadelphia's Kevin Hayes, who had goals in each of the three previous games, began to take command offensively with a couple of shots and nifty passes. Rask's strong play continued to keep the game scoreless with nine minutes remaining in the second.

Joel Farabee earned his first career penalty shot at 16:25 of the second after being taken down on a breakaway. However, Farabee's shot was saved easily by Rask.

Philadelphia began the third on the power play and went ahead 1-0 at 27 seconds when van Riemsdyk deflected a shot past Rask. The goal extended van Riemsdyk's point streak to six games.

The Bruins responded with the next three shots and kept attacking the net.

Boston's Connor Clifton skated in and fired a shot with 8:11 left. Elliott, however, was able to get his stick on the puck and eventually cover it up.

The Bruins tied the game at 1 when Marchand pounced on a loose puck and scored off the post at 12:01. Marchand extended his point streak to nine straight against the Flyers.

Just 27 seconds later, Boston moved ahead 2-1 when Kuraly scored.

Elliott was pulled with 2:10 left and the Flyers' extra skater was beneficial with a number of shots on goal, including two solid chances by van Riemsdyk.

The Flyers were without Carter Hart due to back spasms.
